HERO (art movie)
HERO (Art Movie)
1. From looking at the explanation of an art movie, I think that the movie Hero is considered an art movie because it is a very serious movie, there is no laughter or happiness in it. It focuses on the dreams of everyone, Nameless and Snow wanting to slay the king, Broken Sword and the king wanting to have peace. The movie has music for every scene and a different color for each as well.
2. The director makes this movie for everyone by not displaying a lot of violence but it has enough action in it to make it interesting for everybody. The director makes the movie with action, drama and a romantic part to make it fun for everyone. The director also makes the movie intense and has everybody on the edge of their seats waiting to see what will happen.
3. Yes, I did like the movie, I think that the movie was very well done. It was very dramatic and intense, it was cool to see the perspective of Nameless and the king. I think that making different ways to show how it happened was interesting and I liked the color coding of the different scenes as well.
4. In the Golden Forest when Moon attacked Snow, everything was a yellow gold color, and then when Snow finally defeated Moon and she died, everything turned a very crimson blood red. I think that the different colors for the different scenes emphasizes those scenes and makes a big impact on the viewer of the movie. The different colors of the scenes I think were to mark the start of one important scene and the end of one.

Post Apocalyptic World : brainstorming
Nuclear War
a. What do you think could be a possible end of the world? How do you
think this particular disaster
would affect the physical environment? (Ie. Would there be a lot of
explosions, charred buildings, etc.)
I think that the end of the world would be by a nuclear war.
I think that the world would be left with destroyed, charred buildings. There
will be abandoned houses, cars crushed, shattered glass. There would be debris
and garbage everywhere. Everything would be dark and gloomy. There would be a
huge crater.
b. What particular
aspect do you think you would like to show in your piece of art? Ex. The
psychology of the
survivors, the physical world and how it’s been rebuilt? Perhaps a more
positive
world, where we are
ecologically and socially harmonious with the future landscape?
In my piece of art I would show the survivors coming
together, finding anything that they can to rebuild a home, and finding food.
There will be buildings that are only half there. I will be showing rebuilt
houses.
c. What are ten thing
that you think would survive the disaster that you would like to portray? Why
do you think these
things in particular would make it?
Ten things that would survive are the vehicles, people, some
houses and buildings survived, there would be cockroaches, one little flower,
tools, there are rivers, some animals, an amusement park, some trees will be
left over.
d. What could serve as
a symbol of hope in your picture?
I think that there could be a tiny little flower still alive
and that will be the glimmer of hope.
e. Take a look at the
art or T&T (Tyler Brett and Tony Romano), specifically, Onward Future.
These
artists depict a
future that can be recognized because their vision is based on trends we see
around
us now. They offer a
chance to imagine and understand what the future may possibly hold. What do
you think about their
art? What do you think makes their work appealing to others?
I’m not really sure I like the art, it looked too cartoon
like and it was very simple, it didn’t really catch my eye.
