Culture Jammers: Absolute Vodka

1.       What company does the advertisement represent/subvert?
Absolute Vodka is the advertisement that is being subverted. It is showing you the effects of alcohol.

2.       What kind of product(s) is being advertised?
The product that is being advertised is Absolute Vodka.
 
3.       What imagery is used in the advertisement to subvert?
There is a person lying on a table, in a morgue, showing what drinking this product can do to you.

4.       What message (text, copy) is used in the advertisement? 
In this advertisement, it tells you how many car accidents alcohol causes, how many people become alcoholics and how teenagers see 100 000 alcohol advertisements before they reach legal drinking age.

5.       How are the elements and principles of design used to convey a message?
In the image there is a light around the foot, it helps move your eye around the page and then down the foot to the large writing and then it moves your eye to the small writing that is under that. There is only one bright blue color in the lighting.

6.       Who is the target audience of the advertisement?
The target audience of this advertisement are teenagers, those who are under and above the legal drinking age.

7.       Does the ad jam convey a clear and successful message?
Yes I believe that the ad jam does convey a clear message, it really tells you how it is and stands out. The message is really in your face.

8.       How could the ad jam be improved?

They could make the ad a little bit bigger, the statistics could be bigger because those are the important things that people need to read.
