Culture Jammers: Nike Sweatshops

1.       What company does the advertisement represent/subvert?
The company that the advertisement subverts is Nike shoes

2.       What kind of product(s) is being advertised?
The product is a Nike shoe

3.       What imagery is used in the advertisement to subvert?
The image is a shoe that is a popular shoe, it shoes how much a shoe costs and then how much a person makes in a sweatshop to make shoes like that.

4.       What message (text, copy) is used in the advertisement? 
The message in the advertisement is about sweatshops, child labor and showing the reality of how much a child makes to make these expensive shoes.

5.       How are the elements and principles of design used to convey a message?
In the advertisement, there is only black and white, but the white pops on the black show. With the way the shoe is shaped, your eye moves across it and it makes you want to read the writing more.

6.       Who is the target audience of the advertisement?
The target audience of the advertisement is everyone, anyone who buys these products.

7.       Does the ad jam convey a clear and successful message?
I think that the ad jam conveys a strong and powerful message in just a couple words, and I think that the advertisement does convey a successful message.

8.       How could the ad jam be improved?

There could be more color in the advertisement that could draw more people’s attention.
